Wes aka Heavenly
2005-2022
Wes was a neighborhood cat in Woodlawn. I was fortunate to tend to him for nine years. At our first vet visit with him, we discovered he had a microchip under the name “Heavenly”. According to the original owners, who had lived on the same block but moved away a decade previous, he didn’t like a new family dog and stopped coming home. He preferred street life. A number of kind and gracious neighbors supported him over the years and fortunately he reached old age and transitioned peacefully in July of 2022. He was friends with two other rescue cats, Pooh and Cucumber. A tremendous, sweet and demanding presence that will be missed dearly. Love you, Wes

I’ll miss sharing salmon with you in the backyard. And your firm demands for more pets with your big paw on my knee.
I hope there’s endless snacks and pets where you are now. You’re loved and missed.
