Roselani Blossom – also called Rose, Rosie, Rosie Girl, Rosie Posie (Speckled Toes-ie), or Honey Rose (to name a few), was the sweetest, BEST CAT EVER!
There is never enough time to be with one you love and adore so completely and who loves and adores you back unconditionally.
18.5 years certainly was a blessing, but still, we can’t believe she is gone already!!! The time with her went way too fast. We are left wanting more of her sweet presence.
Even on her last day, she lay with us on the bed and blessed us with 3 hours of loving and tearful farewells and goodbyes as we cuddled and petted her, waiting for our wonderful, Compassionate Care Vet, to arrive.
For 18.5 years, she was my constant sidekick, never wanting to leave my side. She had a welcome home routine – energetically, running to her vertical scratching bench to scratch every time we walked in the door. We called it our welcome home song. She was my darling little Person-In-A-Catsuit who would come every time I called her (until she lost her hearing over a year ago), and was always excited to see what fun adventure or special treat awaited her. She even slept and cuddled up next to me, under the covers, for the first 9 years of her life. And then, under the covers, off and on for the next 5. Finally ending up on the bed pillow above my head for the following years. When you walk into a room where she was, she sat up and leaned in – always ready for love.
I miss her terribly. Even the immense amount of love for her that lives on in my heart and soul will never fill the gaping hole left behind without her physical presence, purring by my side.
Her soft Bengal fur comforted me as she made her sweet little purrs and unique, Rosie love sounds, and as she laid her head in my hand to sleep, rubbed her head into my hair, or reached out to grab and wrap her speckled toes around my finger.
It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime love affair.
You were a special girl and a special gift to us, Rose. We loved and will always love you to the moon and back. Fly high sweet kitty angel! I know your light will shine upon us here, as long we live.
