Ranger was a sweet, sweet dog and I loved him every day that he was with us.
He came to us from a dog rescue in Salem – Mary Jo found him and we went there immediately to check him out. There was no question that he’d come live with us and our other little Dachshund, Sophie.
Ranger developed some issues – few teeth, deaf, nearly blind – but his disposition was so good! He was always ready for some fun, petting or a snack. While he loved to toss his squeaker toy around he had trouble seeing it on the floor. But once he found it, that toy got a good shaking! Outside, in the yard, he was fearless even though his vision and short legs made climbing hills difficult. But he always kept going to the top!
He’ll be missed greatly… I hope to be as nice as Ranger when I get old!
