It is with a heavy heart that I share that our loved fur baby, Papo, has passed. He was 11 years old. He supported me through graduate school (twice), my first real adult job, and buying my first home. Basically my entire 20s as I progressed through adulthood. He was always following everyone around, making sure everyone was safe (even though he was so small). He protected us from all sorts of danger, like the food delivery persons, the mail carrier, other dogs, and squirrels. He was the bravest boy. I will miss his love of food and how he would always make room for more. He was a great big brother to his little brother, Tyson. He passed naturally, surrounded by his parents and brother. He was diagnosed with tracheal collapse last year, which slowly got worse every day. It was heartbreaking to watch him suffer and prolong his life with medication. He waited for me to come home from work, so he could spend one last moment with all of us together, before he passed. We appreciate Compassionate Care for coming a few hours after his passing and being respectful of our mourning. I will never forget Papo. I hope he is finally healthy again and surrounded by all the food he could possibly eat. Until I see you again.
