In Memory of Luc

Oh Luc. I miss you so much. It’s taken me over a month to be able to write this tribute. It was clear you were ready to go, but I was never going to be ready to let go of you.

You were the greatest dog ever. The adventures you had! One that sticks out for me was the time you chased a deer in Michigan. You never failed to come back to me when I called… except for this time. Calling your name, looking in all the nearby forests and cornfields, you were nowhere to be found. I was beside myself with worry when, 3 hours later, you appeared on the back deck out of breath and with a literal bush stuck in your collar. You were the happiest dog on earth at that moment.

These are the moments I want to remember.
